The d-Color MF259, d-Color MF309, and d-Color MF369 are the result of a highly innovative project. The user interface offered by these models is completely new and is based on the adoption of a 10.1-inch touch panel. There are no longer any physical buttons; user interaction takes place exclusively through the touch panel, which is also capable of providing haptic feedback through vibration (a traditional keyboard is available as an option). To improve efficiency and reduce response times, these machines are equipped with a large RAM with 8 GB of "standard" capacity, as well as 256 GB SSD storage, which offers shorter access times compared to traditional hard-disk-based technology. The warm-up time has been reduced to just 13 seconds, and the scanning speed of the new DF-714 Dual Scan feeder reaches 100 ipm in simplex and 200 ipm in duplex. The lifespan of some consumables, such as drums and developer units, has been significantly extended, helping to reduce the number of routine maintenance interventions and lower operating costs. For the first time on an Olivetti MFP, an optional antivirus application is offered that allows real-time scanning of various jobs to prevent attacks from harmful viruses. Scanning of user boxes, SMB folders, and the system can be started manually or scheduled.
